If you are looking for adventure, skydiving might be the thing for you. Skydive The Rock offers you an opportunity to spread your wings, so to speak. Skydive The Rock is located at the Beloit Airport in Beloit, Wisconsin on Highway 67. Tandem skydiving is offered from April through November, seven days a week weather permitting.
Ready to Dive In?
If you’re ready to jump on this adventure, you’ll need to start with a 20 to 30 minute training and safety class. After you’ve had your class, then you will be placed in a FAA approved harness where you will be teamed up with your United States Parachute Association rated tandem instructor. The two of you will then board the plane and travel to 14,500 feet to do your skydive. Then it’s time to jump out of the plane with your instructor. Upon exiting the plane you will freefall for 60 seconds, then open the parachute about one mile up. Once under the parachute you will glide for 3 to 5 minutes back to the landing area to meet your family and friends.
Jumps are $239 per person and group rates, including student and military discounts, are also available. You must be 18 years of age and weigh less than 240 pounds.
